+ In the realm of interior design, the meticulous consideration of
a space’s physical layout often takes center stage. However, amid
the focus on aesthetics and functionality, there is a crucial aspect
that can sometimes be overlooked — sustainability.
+ This session will serve as an entry-level exploration into the
integration of sustainability principles in interior design. It will
also address how sustainability profoundly impacts both the
environment and well-being of the occupants.
04 | LEARNING OBJECTIVES.
+ Be able to de昀椀ne the importance of avoiding long-term exposure
to VOCs when reviewing a project with clients.
+ Be able to identify building products with a high carbon footprint
and solutions that may help reduce environmental impacts.
+ Be able to identify the advantages of choosing domestic suppliers
including lower carbon footprint and economic bene昀椀ts.
+ Be able to de昀椀ne the concept of daylighting and explain its
signi昀椀cance in sustainable building design and occupant wellbeing.
+ Be able to integrate healthy workplace acoustics when designing
spaces.
+ Be able to identify building products and principles of designing
spaces for waste reduction and promoting a circular economy.
