+ When designers focus too closely on a space’s physical
layout, they may neglect the acoustics of the space
— resulting in long-term implications for the end user.
This session will serve as an entry-level introduction
to the science of acoustics and its effect on the o昀케ce
environment. It will also address the common issues that
arise from poor acoustical design, and offer solutions to
designers to aid them in mitigating acoustical issues.
04 | LEARNING OBJECTIVES.
+ Be able to integrate healthy workplace acoustics when
designing spaces.
+ Be able to discuss the importance of avoiding long-term
exposure to noise when reviewing a project with clients
to ensure the ongoing health and safety of the end user.
+ Be able to apply the ABCs of acoustics when resolving
acoustical issues, resulting in an overall safer environment.
